Otago - Fort Gun
Armstrong Disappearing Gun - a six inch breechloader gun mounted on a hydro-pneumatic carriage and ahead of it's time in 1886. Seen here it is installed in an underground circular pit and was aimed whilst below ground, raised then fired and returned back into the pit by the recoil for reload.
